Rules for using NextStep SA, including eligibility, acceptable use, billing, intellectual property, and liability. Governed by the laws of South Africa.

By accessing or using NextStep SA ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service.
1. Acceptance of terms
If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms form a binding agreement between you and NextStep SA when you register or continue to use our services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old. By using the Platform you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. User accounts
3.1 Registration
You agree to provide accurate, current information and keep it updated. Separate account types apply to job seekers and employers as described during signup.
3.2 Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorised use.
3.3 Account types
Job Seeker and Employer accounts have distinct features and obligations. Misuse may result in suspension or termination.
4. User responsibilities
4.1 Job seekers
You agree to:
- Provide truthful profile and CV information
- Maintain up-to-date details
- Engage professionally with employers
- Not use the Platform for fraudulent or misleading purposes
4.2 Employers
You agree to:
- Maintain accurate company information
- Use candidate data only for legitimate recruitment
- Comply with applicable South African labour and equality laws
- Pay subscription and listing fees where required
5. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Violate laws or third-party rights
- Harass users, scrape data without consent, or distribute malware
- Spam or send unsolicited bulk messages
- Impersonate others or circumvent technical limits
- Interfere with the security or reliability of the Platform
6. Pricing and payments
Fees for employer and paid job-seeker tiers are stated on our pricing pages. Charges are typically in South African Rand (ZAR). Refunds and cancellations are governed by our refund and cancellation policies.
We may change fees with reasonable notice. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance of new pricing unless you cancel in line with applicable terms.
7. Intellectual property
The Platform's branding, UI, software, and content we provide are owned by NextStep SA or our licensors. You retain rights in materials you submit, and you grant us a licence to host, display, and use them as needed to operate the service.
8. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, specific hiring outcomes, or the accuracy of user-generated content.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NextStep SA will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Platform.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify NextStep SA against claims arising from breach of these terms, misuse of the Platform, or infringement of third-party rights by content you submit.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breaches, risk, or legal reasons. You may deactivate your account in line with guidance in the dashboard or via support where available.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Courts in South Africa have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer-protection rules where they apply.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes may be communicated through the Platform or by email where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance unless you stop using the service.
